1. ブライ / BBQ(伝統的なグリル)

Mastering Your Boerewors Preparation: The Definitive Guide
Unlock the full potential of our premium sausages with these three expert cooking techniques. The golden rule: never pierce or slice the casing before you cook. Preserving the skin is essential for sealing in the bold spices and succulent juices that define our craft.

The Braai / BBQ (Heritage Grilling)
The Method:

Arrange the sausage in its signature coil or separate it into long, continuous links. Prepare your grill for medium-indirect heat to ensure even cooking without burning the surface.
* **The Process:** Slow-roast the meat, using tongs to flip it every few minutes. Avoid forks at all costs to prevent juice loss. Target a total cooking time of 10 to 15 minutes.
* **Pro Tip:** Remove from the grill once the internal temperature reaches 68°C to 70°C (155°F to 160°F). Allow the meat to rest for 5 minutes to settle the juices.

2. Skillet Searing (The Steam-to-Fry Method)
* **The Method:** Lay your sausage coil into a room-temperature pan before turning on the heat.
* **The Process:** Add 2 to 3 tablespoons of water, cover, and steam over a low flame for 5 minutes. This warms the center perfectly. Take off the lid, let the water vanish, and sear the sausage in its own natural fats for about 4 minutes per side until crisp and bronze.
* **Pro Tip:** Keep the heat moderate. Excessive temperatures cause the filling to expand rapidly, which will rupture the delicate casing.
### 3. Potjie Style (Sauce Simmering)
* **The Method:** Cook the coil whole for a dramatic presentation or slice it into hearty 5cm pieces.
* **The Process:** Over medium heat, brown the exterior in a heavy pot for 5 minutes, then remove. Sauté your aromatics and build a rich sauce base. Submerge the boerewors back into the liquid and simmer on low for 10 to 15 minutes.
* **Pro Tip:** Maintain a gentle simmer rather than a rolling boil. High heat toughens the proteins, while a low heat ensures a melt-in-the-mouth texture.
